Guinevere Granite and her fiance, Thomas Bell, visited the Lindow Man exhibition recently. Guinevere lives in America but has done research on ancient bodies. She has submitted an application to do research on Lindow Man next year at the British Museum. She has been reading the Blog  and is very interested in the postings and the responses. Guinevere has kindly sent some personal comments on the exhibition:-
“The Lindow Man exhibition at the Manchester Museum is both uniquely captivating as well as thought- provoking. I have never seen an exhibition quite like it in my life and I was truly honoured to have a chance to witness it at first-hand.

I was greatly intrigued by the integration of numerous individuals and perspectives, directly and indirectly affected and created by the Lindow Man discovery. I was particularly drawn to the spiritual perspective, involving the transition between water and land, and the view of the bog as a place in-between; an area of limbo where one’s entity can live on forever. I have highlighted these captivating Celtic (early British) ideas within my masters thesis and will continue to expand the concept within my dissertation.”
Thanks to Irit Narkiss in Conservation for taking the photograph
